With 62 pro votes, the Republic of Macedonia parliament -- without debate -- yesterday in the post, the plenary session accepted the Commission's recommendation for Order Affairs, Immunity and Mandat to lift its former prime minister and deputy immunity, Nikola Gruevski, even at the tribunal's request due to the detention measure.
Opposition deputies from VMRO-DPMNE, where Gruevski is chairman of honour, did not attend the session.
Meanwhile, the extradition of former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski from Hungary is expected to be supported by the majority of European Parliament deputies today.
