The Paris metropolis (MGP) voted today to ban the flow of vehicles with the highest level of pollution since July 2019, such as diesel vehicles over 18 years in circulation and gasoline over 21 years, within the A86 area in the Paris region.
” We must witness collective will”, MGP Chairman Patrick Ollier declared before the deputies, citing 5 000 to 60,000 deaths from pollution annually in the region.
To be final, the move will become the target of consultations with residents of each municipality and 79 mayors of the municipalities involved will then have to make decisions.
