Ombudsman Hilmi Jashari has held a meeting of elementary school children from several Kosovo municipalities such as Pristina, Ferizaj, Peja etc.
The purpose of this meeting was to offer these young ones the opportunity to express their dissatisfaction with respect for their rights.
This activity was held in honour of Universal Day for the Rights of the Child under what they had discussed some of the shortcomings that institutions have in respecting these rights.
Jashar was willing to make arrangements that go beyond the law just so that children can live in better conditions.
As an example, he took up the job of the Social Work Centres within municipalities to visit families and ensure that these children grow up in sound family environments and not be discriminated against.
The children present also raised for discussion the subject of children who do not have adequate parental care for whom Jashar announced that he is constantly working.
