Following yesterday's events and developments in the wake of the arrest of four Serbian citizens suspected of connecting with the murder of Oliver Ivanovic and protests in various locations, during today's north of Mitrovica is ruling in a peaceful state.
Order authorities, speaking of Kosova Prees, have described the overall situation as calm and under control.
Police Deputy Director for the Northern region Besim Hoti has said over the phone that the current situation in northern Mitrovica is calm.
The situation in northern Mitrovica is stable, calm and under control. There's nothing to worry about”, Hot said.
Even Dusanka Radoyev, citizen from the north, sees the situation north of Mitrovica as calm today after yesterday's events.
She prays that the situation is good, while she feels sorry when bad things happen here.
Now it's all right, thank God. Just keep it this way. I'm sorry about everything that happens here.
On the other hand, there were citizens who see the overall situation in that part tense.
A Serb citizen from northern Mitrovica, who did not want to be introduced, said the situation in the north continues to remain tense.
The situation in Mitrovica is still tense... Yes, things always seem quiet to us... I don't expect anything, I expect to go home and make a drop-down.
Sejfa Bajrovic, also from northern Mitrovica, has announced to Kosovo that the tense situation in that part has been ruling for 20 years.
According to her, citizens should see how best to live, while politics leaves politics to politicians.
With the truth, this situation is not just yesterday, today, tomorrow and tomorrow, it's been going on so 20 years, from 1999. It's like a psychological implant, it's got, sʹka, do, don't want, like the weather when it falls or doesn't rain, and that's what's been going on for 20 years... Yeah, it's a tense situation, because everybody takes the water to their mill. We need to see how to live, let politicians do their job. This situation wasn't just yesterday, it's been tense for 15 years. It always has to be the optimistic man”, Bajrovic stressed.
