Former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has written his whereabouts on the social network, saying he has also received life threats.

Gruevski writes he is in Budapest, Hungary, and that he has sought political asylum, Telegrafi reports Macedonia.

I have accepted a large number of threats for my life over the past few days. I am in Budapest now and have sought political asylum from Hungarian authorities. Every time I am loyal to Macedonia's cause. I will never move”, Gruevski writes.

Otherwise, Macedonia's police from Friday is seeking the former prime minister, who has been sentenced to two years in prison by the Skopje Criminal Court.
