Secretary - General NATO Jens Stoltenberg warned today, with the case of a debate forming a European “ ” that European defence should not be strengthened at the expense of NATO.
“We are satisfied because of the addition of EU efforts in the field of defence. This is good if European allies have the highest capacity if they co-operate better. What we are not satisfied with is that the EU begins to create a double structure “, Stoltenberg said at the NATO-Industrial Forum” in Berlin, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
He estimated that NATO and the EU really need a single, powerful system of control of the system's experts.
“NATO and the EU are rivals, as Germany, like the majority of other NATO members, is also EU member”, Stoltenberg said.
He recalled that French President Emmanuel Macron launched the debate on November 6th suggesting that Europe should build its army, which angered US President Donald Trump, who praised the Chron proposal “fyes” on the eve of arriving in France to mark the end of World War I.
Then Macro tried to calm Trump with the claim that the proposal was not directed against Washington.
