A Norwegian military ship has been seen almost sunken at sea near the Norwegian city of Bergen. This ship is under NATO command. She began to sink when she encountered a fuel ship from Malta and a large hole was dug in it.
This ship is one of five major Norwegian fleet ships, and was circulated near the fjords in order to train for navigation. She faced the Malaysian fuel carrier, which was coming out of an oil supply point.
The ship's military personnel tried to avoid a collision with the other ship, but its direction to a safe location was impossible because of its 5,500 tons of weight. It remains partially sunk, and only the upper part of the ship is seen on water. Local media have raised doubts about how a warship could not avoid a slowly moving fuel carrier.
Eight of the 137 found aboard were injured in the accident. The communication official in the Norwegian fleet said only the police will handle the investigation. Similar marine accidents have occurred in the past, including American ships. Some of these accidents are suspected to have been avoided and caused by human error, writes “CNN”
