EU Foreign Policy Representative Federica Moghrini has denied Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's statement, which indicated it will not continue dialogue with Pristina in Brussels until Pristina abolishes the decision to impose 10 per cent of taxes on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Moghrin, the two presidents have agreed to follow-up meetings, abcnews broadcast.
European diplomacy chief Federica Moghrini has not awarded statements with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, after the end of the next round of Pristina-Belgrade dialogue. which was developed in Brussels. A day after the meeting, the statement by Federica Moghrini, which mediates the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue, is completely inconsistent with that of Serbian President Aleksander Vuciq.
He has made it clear after yesterday's meeting that he will no longer participate in dialogue until the measures taken under CEFTA by the Kosovo Government are in force. Meanwhile, according to Federica Moghrin's statement, conveyed by spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic, the two presidents are committed to continuing dialogue:
“EU High Representative Federica Moghrini and the two presidents met for high-level dialogue on normalising relations between Pristina and Belgrade and for reaching a legally binding agreement. As we have conveyed in our statement last night, we expect Serbia and Kosovo to achieve rapid results from commitments made under the dialogue, especially the direct link that has sweeping normalisation between the two sides with their EU integration aspirations.
Serbia and Kosovo must refrain from words, actions and measures, which are contrary to normalisation of relations and create a favourable climate of dialogue. And you must have seen that the two presidents agreed to stay in constant contact to ensure that the assessment of yesterday's meeting and the contacts will actually follow, Kocijancic said.
This is not the first time that for the same meeting, the European version is completely contrary to the Serbian one. President Aleksandar Vuciq has indicated he will not come to Brussels unless the Kosovo government changes the measures taken for growth by 10% of taxes related to imports of goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the European Commission, measures aimed at applying to the Government of Kosovo are violating the Central European Free Trade Agreement CEFTA, and the Government of Kosovo must withdraw from these measures.
