Minister urges the EU to keep promise of visa liberalisation

European Integration Minister Litera Hoxha has called the dilemmas of several European Union member states for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens unrealistic.

She has said such dilemmas seriously affect EU credibility.

In an interview given to the New Age newspaper, Hoxha has said it is quite strange that Kosovo is facing dilemmas and uncertainty regarding visa liberalisation, even though it has fulfilled all criteria.

However, she hopes the EU will stick to the visa promise.

Hoxha has declared it essential that visa decision-making take place in early December.

She has suggested that the EU's eventual failure to liberalise visas after meeting the criteria would put Kosovo's confidence in the EU in question.
