Sejdiu has said that about 7,300 workers work in institutions where health services are offered in Kosovo.
On the “show, face” with Muhamet Hajrullahu at RTV Dukagjini, Sejdiu has said that the priorities of the institution he runs are emergency centres, cardiovascular systems, intensive treatment and specialistic ambulances.
“70 percent of pathology has been for the cardiovascular system. We know that this centre used to be just for reference, not for treatment, but on February 1st from this center patients are no longer sent to private hospitals, but treated there”.
The USKKUK director has said that in 2018 some 300 people have been employed in institutions offering health services.
“I thank the Ministry of Finance for allowing us to employ 80 doctors and 200 new nurses this year, which has not happened so far”, Sejdiu said, records Telegrafi.
According to SKKUK's director, it is disturbing that most health personnel are aiming for employment at QKUK, while they do not like regional hospitals.
“consors have been empty in regional hospitals. Everybody wants exclusive employment at QKUK”.
Sejdiu has said measures are being taken in Kosovo to prevent doctors from leaving in a way that doctors will double their salaries.
“We have seriously started with initiatives even at the government level, which doctors in Kosovo will have salaries that will not even have in the region. Approximately, salaries will be doubled, the union knows the best”, he said.
Sejdiu has said the goal of the institution he runs is that every clinic offers citizens services and does not run in other private institutions or abroad.
The next “Viti will have another priority, because it will have a double budget for the purchase of equipment, which will also help in the health insurance law”, Sejdiu said.
