Peja General Hospital has reported that several people have begun beating in the street last night to continue in the hospital environment and in front of the Kosovo Police.
In a news release, Pec Hospital has indicated that it is no place for confrontations that endanger patients and medical staff.
Below is the hospital's full announcement:
The General Hospital in Pec expressed indignation over the case last night when some people after having clashed with each other elsewhere and in the hospital facility have continued the beating, even though police were present.
The hospital should not be a place of such confrontations that endanger the patient's safety, and especially the medical staff that are often doing their best to help patients who need health care.
Otherwise 375 people have been treated as emergency cases over the past 48 hours. 47 of these are lying down for further treatment.
There were 11 normal births and four Caesaric cuts. Eleven babies were born seven boys and four girls.
364 people have conducted tests totaling 5,073 tests.
Among the cases discussed have been a person stabbed with a knife that is at risk for life.
