He died at 87 years of age, former Macedonian Encyclopedia editor-in-chief, ultranationalist academic Blage Ristovski, Portalal.mk reports.
Ristovski was a regular member of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ASHAM) since 1996.
He will be remembered for his insulting attitudes towards Albanians through the scandalous Encyclopedia in 2009, when then Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski was in power.
In that encyclopedia, Albanians were called barbarians who came from the mountains of northern Albania and usurped Macedonian lands during the 1st century. 2 / 1
Macedonia's “Albanian extraction is from the north of Albania, the tribe of ugs, and their location was originally in cities such as Tetovo and Gostivar, which with the help of the Cacak gangs terrorised the Macedonian population by forcing them to migrate, as a result, the Macedonian sites and their villages were populated with Albanians”, the editor-in-chief was Ristovski.
Due to offensive lies about Macedonian Albanians, A SAM pulled the encyclopedia published in September 2009 out of circulation. At the time, a council was formed that had to make the revision of the encyclopedia, but the same did not perform any function. And as it talked about the same thing, half of the copies of the publication were distributed by the existing “mistakes”.
