Chief State Prosecutor Aleksandar Lumezi has met today with Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman Berat Rukiqi, with whom they have discussed boosting co-operation between the State Prosecutor and Oda.
Lumez and Rukiqi have also discussed issues of interest, prosecution and intelligence of criminal acts committed against Kosovo's business community, as well as increased judicial security for investors from Kosovo and foreign countries.
They have also talked about reporting the numerous crimes committed against businesses in Kosovo, as well as the banking sector, in order to ensure judicial protection and increase efficiency in the pursuit of perpetrators of these criminal acts.
Lumez and Rukiqi have also discussed the possibility that under the State Prosecutor be appointed a prosecutor for business and investment issues, in order to offer appropriate security to this sector.
Rukiqi's Lumezi has found that this is the right way to protect economic activities and develop free circulation of capital, people, goods and services.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has stressed that the State Prosecutor's main goal is to combat crime in the Republic of Kosovo and contribute to ensuring rule of law. Meanwhile, it has stressed that the top priorities are successful prosecution of organised crime, and criminal acts that undermine the foundations of the country's economy.
