This meeting discussed the protection of children from trafficking and the elimination of child labor, particularly dangerous work forms.
Recica briefed Mladenov on the situation and concrete actions that are under way in connection with the elimination of children's jobs.
“The children's rights and protection bill has gone to first reading in Parliament and I hope, that soon it will be read second”, he said.
But despite this bill, MPMS is taking concrete action with other relevant institutions to address this problem.
Mladenovic demanded that the bill on children's rights and protection be adopted in parliament, as it is a law of importance.
She stressed that the American State Department is interested in assisting Kosovo institutions, regarding the actions of the MPMS, with concrete projects in addressing the issue of protecting children from trafficking and eliminating heavy tasks in children.
They agreed to further co-operation between MPMS and the US Department of Labour.
