Kosovo prison with nearly 160 convicted over 15 years

It is one of the highest - security prisons in the country, just as its name is. The Podujevo High Security Prison was opened in May 2014, when the admission of high - risk and high - risk convicts determined to serve the sentence in this prison has begun. Currently, about 160 prisoners are serving sentences in this prison, each sentenced to over 15 years of freedom.

The number of prisoners here differs from the decisions of courts and sentences that are determined. Supreme Security Prison capacity is up to 390 prisoners. Even with the highest level of security, prisoners here can use their time outside the room.

This prison is equipped with the camera system, which is very advanced, censorship wires, which give the signal when each unauthorized person approaches the illegal area.

After breakfast, which is served in their rooms, where each room is housed by a prisoner, between 8:00 and 11: 00 p.m., they have the right to come out of the room and enjoy various activities, including the gym, chess, and other sports activities that this prison offers.
