Kosovo flour price increases

Januz Candman, owner of the cereal processing company “Alia Komerce”, says the price of flour has increased for several factors.

The owner of the Lipjan municipality-based company said that the flour price, which, he says, was about 26 cents before the tax was imposed, now “has gone about 33,34 cents”. He even says some companies in Kosovo are selling flour for 36 or 37 cents.

We sold the flour from 30 to 32 cents. But there are others who are selling it from 36 to 37 cents. They're exploiting this moment. Before the 10 per cent and 100 per cent tax was imposed on Serbia, the price was 26,27 euroch”, Januz Canthman declared.

Even Seydullah Rama, owner of the Rera Commerce company, agrees that the price of flour in Kosovo has increased. Rama says the price was not increased after the 100 per cent tax on Serbia's products, but by the time the tax on Serbian products was 10 per cent.

He says that the price has increased by about 10 percent.

We've changed nothing with this 100 percent tax, but then with a 10 percent tax. Now the price has gone up 10%, no more. It used to be about 32 cents, then it's about 34,35 cents”, said Sjedullah Rama about Inseder.

The owner of the company “Rera Komerce” has said that “sic has information on prices, now that they're starting to receive from Macedonia, the price will still be 32 or 33 cents”.

Meanwhile, the executive director of the wheat processing association, Muhamet Ferizi, has said he is unaware and does not speak about the price of flour.

“E knows that companies for selling flour have had difficulties because they have had great competition from Serbia. Among the factors that have affected the last days is the raising of the price of wheat to bead. But I can't say something about price, because I don't know what the price is.
