Kosovo's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Iranian President Hasan Rouhan's statements for Israel.
Rouhani, on Saturday, urged Muslims, including those in Saudi Arabia, to oppose the US.
He then labeled Israel “false regime” created by Western states, and linked its formation after World War II to “a cancerous tumor in the region”.
But Kosovo's MPJ has stood up for the state of Israel, saying the right to existence belongs to this state and “will never tolerate” to change that.
Kosovo condemns in the harshest possible way statements completely unacceptable by Iran's president, Rouhan over Israel. Israel's right to existence is nonnegotiable. Kosovo will never tolerate efforts to change this”, writes in the posting of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry on Twitter.
Iran supports militant groups like Hamas' Hezbollah, who have pledged Israel's destruction. Iran has never threatened to attack Israel, but has vowed to retaliate if attacked. Israel considers Iran an existential threat.
We remember that the state of Kosovo has not recognised either of the two countries mentioned above.
