He has spoken with this case about the security situation in Kosovo and the sovereignty in northern Mitrovica, which according to him, has problems in that part.

“Normically there are problems with sovereignty in northern Mitrovica. Having complete control in the north is truly a challenge and remains a challenge. Actually, there is no complete control, that is true because there is organized crime. There are challenges to which we are trying to be more effective. This affects the population, because in some way people are trying who, where they're relying on Pristina or Belgrade. But we really try to keep a safe and secure environment there. We're trying to keep this situation under control”, Cuoci said.

He added that the solution to problems in the north affects dialogue on the table, not on the ground. As for transforming KSF, Cuoci said his position NATO is clear and prefers the involvement of all ethnicities in Kosovo in the new army.

According to him, this process of transformation will last about 10 years. It has also said that a large budget is needed for the new Kosovo Army.

Otherwise, instead of Cuoci at the helm of KFOR, it will be Lorenzo D'Addario.
