The Kosovo Energy Corporation says that this year there will be no problem with electricity supply, as they now have no coal problems.
KEK, last summer, had been alarmed that coal reserves enable energy production for only a few months, as a result of land expropriation problems, KTV reports.
But after solving this problem, the escapers had immediately started working, and KEK has managed to secure reservations of up to 430 thousand coals.
coal production division director Adil Januzi has said that during this winter season, there will be no problems with supplying coal power plants.
Januzi says they are aware that the use of mines also affects the degradation of flora and fauna.
But according to him, since 2009, when the environmental department has been established within this division, they have repeatedly undertaken a series of activities that have affected environmental protection.
Disagreements between residents and KEK over the mode of expropriation last year had forced KEK to disrupt the production of several generators and import energy from Albania.
