During 2016 and 2017, more teenagers have been killed since 1986.
The latest poll shows that 250 young children of young age have killed themselves for a number of reasons, including harassment, family issues and stress, the country's Education Ministry said on Monday, according to local media, CNN reported.
These figures were 5 higher than a year ago, and the highest since 1986, when 268 students died.
The student suicide number has remained high and this is an alarming issue to deal with,” Ministry official Noriaki Kitazaki told reporters.
