Igor Singhi, deputy chairman of the Serbian List, has said it is not known yet how many protesters are, but has added that they have gathered many times in the rain and snow.
“Will try to hit us yet because we are Serbs, our children have no right to live like others. Today, they don't ask how Serbs live in the north. We call them from Partesh, Gracanica, Ranillug, we're a people. Pristina does not want to allow us to live normal. Today, we hold you back because we are Serbs. We don't agree with their plan, with plans not to allow us in these lands. We are threatened with arrest as we are Serbs. But we will not pay their tribute because we do not want and cannot. The support we have received from Kabashiqi and others last night is that there is no going back from here”, Simiqi said, KTV reported.
A Serbian Trepca worker, who is participating in the protest, has said they have not been involved in politics, but says the tax-making decision at 100 per cent for Serbian goods from the Kosovo government is tribute.
We protect our bread and our work. We're here to show our president that we're firm and together. Let us arrest, but let them know that we will not withdraw and we will all be together, and Trepca is among his people, he said.
