Nothing new could be learned today about the violent expulsion of six Turkish citizens. All of this, after the commission meeting failed, in the absence of the two heads of state who did not appear on the commission to report. President Thaci did not show up after being on a visit to the US, while Prime Minister Haradinaj attended the joint meeting of the two governments in Pec. Meanwhile, the commission has not yet scheduled another day when they will be invited for reporting, writes Express newspaper.
More than eight months have passed since Cihan ♫zkan, Kahraman Demirez, Hasan Hüseyin Günam, Mustafa Erdham, Osman Karakaya and Yusuf Karabina were violently expelled from the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, at the request of Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
But although months have passed by this case, it is still not known what happened on the day of March 29 of this year.
To make the case white, even institutions seem to be not doing enough. Most of them are procrastinating their appearance before the Parliamentary Investigative Commission to report on information related to their deportation.
Today, when Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's meeting would have to be reported before the commission, President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj failed. All because none of them came before the commission. In their absence, the meeting was postponed for another day.
Thaci did not appear on the commission after being on a trip to the United States, and Haradinaj did not go with the argument that the joint meeting of the two governments in Pec is held at the same time.
Besides not participating, commission members complained that they had not even informed them of their absence.
The chairman of this commission, Xhelal Svechla, said they were not notified of the president's failure. Until he declared that from the Prime Minister's Office, they received a verbal notice of the case.
And that the commission has been informed that Prime Minister Haradinaj will not attend the meetings, says Government spokeswoman Donjet Gashi.
Gashi has told Express that the commission has long been announced that the first executive will not participate, since the gathering of two governments was held.
But when the heads of state are invited to report, they have not even decided on the commission.
The deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Investigative Commission for the expulsion of six Turkish citizens, Driton Selmanaj, has told Gazeta Express that there is still no date when they will be invited to report.
We have not set a date when the president of the prime minister will be invited for reporting. We couldn't even start the meeting because of deputies from the” position, Selmanaj told Express.
And although the day is not scheduled when state leaders will be invited for the report, Express finds out from sources within the commission that on December 5th for reporting before the commission will be invited former Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj, who was dismissed by Haradinaj.
Meanwhile, for the violent expulsion of six Turkish citizens, so far before the investigative commission, they have reported the heads of institutions that were involved in the case: Police Inspectorate Director Miradije Kelmendi, former chief of police, Shpend Maxun, former AKI chief Driton Gashi, and recently Minister of Infrastructure Pal Lekaj.
Lekaj said during his report he was previously unaware of their expulsion, while he received the information from the media. He said he is awaiting the conclusion of the investigative commission and, under the law, will act in terms of punitive procedures if there are abuses.
Otherwise, the expulsion of six Turkish citizens from Kosovo to Turkey was a co-ordinated action between intelligence services from Turkey and Kosovo. But, which MPs, president, prime minister and speaker of the Parliament had declared they had no knowledge of the case at all.
Prime Minister Haradinaj had released Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj from office, and Kosovo Intelligence Agency chief Driton Gashi, who later resigned from their positions.
