I don't even feel guilty. Even shorter was the other indictee Besim Beqaj, who was declared “absolutely innocent”.

During this initial examination, the indictment was not read at all - an unusual judicial practice.

The accused and lawyers demanded that the indictment not be read, despite the fact that special prosecutor Drita Hajdari asked me to read the indictment.

Judge Shasirvar Hoti stated that with the reconciliation of the accused, the indictment is considered read.

In April of this year, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo filed an indictment in the case called “Proto”.

Eleven people with high official positions are charged in this criminal case.

Adem Grabovci, Besim Beqaj, Zenun Pajaziti, Arbenita Pajaziti, Ilhami Gashi, Njazi Kryeziu, Fatmir Shudaj, Sedat Gashi, Ismet Neziraj, Xhavit Daj, Reja Abazi are the indictees of the Special Prosecutor.

They are accused of committing a criminal act, the violation of equal status of citizens and residents of the Republic of Kosovo.

According to the indictment, these persons have mishandled official positions by co-operating among themselves and by illegally granting privileges and priorities to those who have competed in important positions.

The criminal issue of employment and division of positions, based on party affiliations and personal reports, is under discussion.
