The tablets, in which your country was written, your future” has now appeared in the German capital, and recently in different languages, including French, English, Arabic and Russian.
The Interior Ministry has confirmed that the plaques are part of the “Kthim programme from Germany”, which hopes to increase the number of asylum seekers voluntarily seeking to return to their country of origin.
The campaign promotes a repatriation programme through which asylum seekers can receive additional assistance if they apply for return before December 31st. Returners will receive assistance in the form of support for rent, construction or reconstruction, or for basic equipment such as kitchens or toilets, with the maximum amount that could go to 3,000 euros for a family, or 1,000 euros per person, follows the TCh.
Germany also previously offered various types of financial incentives for asylum seekers who wanted to return home. Those who decide to return before the procedures are completed can receive up to 1,200 euros, while those who decide to return within the specified period, following the refusal to demand for asylum, may receive 800 euros.
