German Eurodeput has message for countries that do not support visa liberalisation

In an interview for the “European Western Balkans”, German European Parliament deputy Knut Flekenstein, who is also a member of the Parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs and rapporteur for Albania, has declared Kosovars deserve visa liberalisation. The Eurodeput orders EU countries not to watch polling elections, but to continue working on the visa liberalisation issue.

He was mentioned with reports that around 10 states oppose visa liberalisation for Kosovo and that this decision cannot be made within this year.

Asked what the reason for these objections is and whether Kosovars deserve visa liberalisation, he declared: “I have not counted how many states they oppose. Discussion on the commission, parliament and the council has just begun. Let's wait and see what the results will be.

While Flickenstein is convinced that Kosovars deserved their visas much earlier,

I am very convinced that the people of Kosovo deserve visa liberalisation. They have already deserved it. They did what we asked them to do, and now it's up to us to be reliable”, he added.

And, in the end, the German urdeput, has said that the European Union should not see elections, but must continue working.
