The introduction of a 10 per cent tax on imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Government of Kosovo is expected to affect Kosovo consumers' pocket, as prices for products imported from these countries, as well as products providing raw materials through Bosnia and Serbia, are warned.
Price hikes, warned to be quite minimal. However, the articles mentioned as expensive include flour, bread, and oil. A minimum price movement is also warned about production and construction sectors.
The Association for Consumer Protection raises concern that this action by the Government of Kosovo will affect Kosovo's consumer in raising prices. The chairman of this association, Selatina Kachanic, says Kosovo consumers will feel the consequences of this tax as well as the fact that Kosovo businesses benefit any government decision that connects with tax movement.
