There are 43 cases targeted by corruption and organised crime, which are being addressed in Kosovo's justice mechanisms.
These cases have been sought to be carried out by the European Union so that Kosovo can have facilities in the visa liberalisation process for free movement in the Schengen area. Leaders at the Judiciary Council say these subjects are being handled with priorities.
Kosovo Judiciary Council chief Nehat Idrizi told Radio Free Europe that the justice system would increase the commitment to work on these subjects.
So far there have been 43 cases that have been recorded, 38 cases are in courts, five in investigative procedure, while 33 subjects are the most indictment presented in courts. This is a August report, and we have not yet received the latest report on further progress, but it is important that these courses have priority and any action taken by the court on the database, and Brussels has a direct opportunity to be informed of the phase and development of the procedure of”, Idriz said.
