Though very difficult, some farmers try to grow seed through the irrigation system “Iber Lepenc” and that of “Radijqi”, reports KTV.
Buyku Zymer Mustafa from the village of Reznik of Vushtrri says they are facing many problems this year.
In the parcels near Iber Leqe Canal, he has managed to water sown wheat, but in another parcel higher, rainfall is the only hope.
The head of the farmers' union, Tahir Tahiri, says that if there is no decline, there is the risk that next year, productivity will be weak.
He has called on institutions to help farmers by regulating the irrigation system.
In the meantime, the water supply has appealed to citizens not to use earth's irrigation water.
Climate conditions have already caused the water level at Badovci Lake to drop 2.8m from the maximum level, while at Batlava's, there is a 3.2m drop from the maximum level.
