Kosovo Correcting Service General Director Nehat Thaci said today that in Dubrava prison, he has smuggled and nepotism.
Thaci, reporting to the Commission for Legislation concerning the state of corrective institutions in Kosovo, has shown the steps they have taken to improve the situation in this prison, responsible for combating nepotism and smuggling to this institution.
As for hygiene and conditions, Thaci has said the Gjilan prison, Pristina prison and high security have very good conditions. And he said that old prisons cannot offer the same purity as new prisons.
The next step he said would take by reducing the number of detainees and prisoners in the Dubrava prison to the tune of 500, which, according to him, allows these situations to be managed.
Thaci, also talked about the Peja prison, stating there is no official document that that prison will be closed. However, he points out that conditions in this prison are not good.
