“Public Foundation Procurory for prosecuting organised crime and corruption, following information about the convict's escape. N.G. as well as writings in the media and in the interest of opinion have created subjects according to the voices. In this regard, there is basis for doubt that certain officials, misusing their official position and official authorisations, have enabled convicts to illegally leave the Republic of Macedonia”, the Public Prosecutor announced.
The subject, as quoted, has been given to the competent prosecutor and, under the pre-investigative procedure, has been ordered to collect information concerning this event.
Former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, who was due to appear for the suffering of a two-year prison sentence for “Titanik”, under unknown circumstances has yet fled to Hungary, where he sought political asylum.
