This institution, the Division for Anxiety this year, has accepted over 700 complaints respectively, half of these complaints were from citizens who had complaints about banks in the country.
“Mbi 300 citizens from January 1st, October 29th 2018, Ankes Division in the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, has reviewed 739 complaints, of which 355 have been to the Commercial Banks”, the BQK response reported.
The number of citizens' complaints has marked increases, as citizens are more informed of their rights, say in the CEC.
Citizens have mostly complained about issues related to credit products.
Linked to this in the CEC say they have taken measures against banks, depending on the nature of the violation they have committed against their clients.
“Bank Law implementation function, IMF and IFJB, as well as bank regulations, the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo takes punitive administrative measures that could come from customer complaints or even from examinations made in these institutions. In context, measures have been taken against banks, IMFs and IFJBs, depending on the nature of violations, sensitivity, repetition and damage that may have been caused to clients”.Economy Today
