The World Magic Championships are held every three years by the International Federation of Magic Associations. The Chinese managed to win the jury's hearts, with tricks coming ever closer to inexplicable and absurd.
Paper tricks don't usually contain any high level of spectacularity, but Eric Chien broke this cliche. The objects appear from nothing, and the colors of cards and vests also change unexpectedly because of the magic of a white tape.
With this performance, Chien has convinced the Federation judges to award the “Grand Prix”, the award which enters the category of tricks performed under table conditions, and not beyond 3m in distance from the public.
Many competitors have been rivals of each other in different categories at this year's edition, but none at the level of the Chinese prestige, writes Tch. Chien's trick has become viral on social networks over the past few days.
The Chinese illusionist has only published the performance he sent to the podium, his channel on YouTube, where he wrote: Although this victory is a great achievement, I hope it will only be the beginning of me. I can't wait to show you my numbers.
The world's largest event of magic takes place every 3 years to allow enough time for prestige to work and improve their techniques and also create new forms of illusions.
