Immediately after Kosovo's failure to become a member of INTERPOL, the largest international police organisation, Kosovo's institutional leaders completely weighed the burden of responsibility for such a thing, and thus emissating themselves entirely.
That, according to them, the Serbian state has been campaigning viciously to undermine Kosovo's membership in INTERPOL. The same opinion is Interior Affairs Minister Ekrem Mustafa, who has told the newspaper “Voice” that Kosovo has not been responsible for failing in INTERPOL.
But otherwise, they appreciate connoisseurs of international relations who say Kosovo's inability to become part of this organisation represents the clear failure of Kosovo diplomacy.
Representatives of the opposition, who consider that responsibility for such a failure falls on top diplomat Behgjet Pacolli, but also on President Hashim Thaci of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. So, according to them, all three political figures must resign from the positions they currently hold.
