Arifi: Technical dialogue with Serbia is clinically dead

Kosovo delegation chief for technical talks with Serbia in Brussels Avni Arifi has said that 100% taxes on Serbian products will be removed when Serbia recognises Kosovo's independence. He has said it is the Serbian state that has blocked the talks, failing to implement the agreements reached in Brussels. [Serbians]

He has said it is the Serbian state that has blocked the talks, failing to implement the agreements reached in Brussels.

They [Serbs] have blocked technical dialogue. They have blocked the bridge in Mitrovica. So dialogue on technical level is clinically dead. I believe they'll clear up and come back to dialog”, Arifi said.

We've been in Brussels twice and we've been told by the Serbian delegation, we're only here for Zaydenica and not other agreements. That was a friend for us. They've blocked the power deal. Mogher knows that, but he never publicly reacted. Everything that has to do with certificates is blocked, the Ibri Bridge is blocked. They never responded positively. We never got an answer. It's a completely uneven approach”.

“on 30 million topics Serbia does not implement has no reaction at all. We've gone with better ideas to compromise. We have gone to negotiations to reach any agreement and normalise reports and markets. Serbia is only loving the market. Even the market will be the so-called 'cause I am the so-called Kosovo representative to them. I do not call Serbs so-called citizens of Serbia, nor do they call me the so-called political representative”.

Arifi has reiterated that the 100% tax decision has not been made against Serbian citizens in Kosovo.
