An American missionary has been shot to death by members of an isolated tribe living on an Indian island, having gone there in order to convert them into Christians.
John Allen Chau, 27, had paid a fisherman in that area to help him get to Sentinel Island, one of the most isolated areas in the world of the Andaman Indian islands, broadcast the Telegraph.
Chau had started on a fisherman on a small ship to Sentinel Island, where members of the tribe live in total isolation from the outside world.
However, as the feet crossed the island, which is the home of the Sentinels who do not prefer visits, Chau found himself in the hail of arrows. But members of the tribe that killed Chau cannot be prosecuted, since contact with them is prohibited by law, for the purpose is to protect their way of life and keep themselves free of disease.
Police have named the case murder and, however, have arrested seven suspected persons. Their names have not been discovered but are believed to be the fisherman and others who helped Chau send him to the island. /Telegraphy/
