He urged Ambassador Pfandler that Austria increase investments in Kosovo, naming it one of the states that has helped Kosovo in important processes.
The trade minister also briefed the ambassador for trade exchanges between Kosovo and Austria for years, presenting the priorities of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Shala said she has the focus on attracting foreign investors, showing that some changes in the Strategic Investment Law have begun so that foreign investors can have much easier to invest in Kosovo.
I'm also very focused on working on consumer protection, which I consider a department of importance. I have increased the number of field inspections, always having the consumer in first place”, Shala said.
Austria's Ambassador Pfandler expressed concern over the 100 per cent tax.
The minister confirmed that the tax will not go away.
Shala also briefed the ambassador for products entering Kosovo that they should refer to Kosovo with the constitutional term on labels, or goods will be turned back to the border.
