Zaev's Resignment, Technical Governance Required in Macedonia

At the VMRO-DPMNE Central and Executive Committee meeting, among other things it was decided not to recognise the referendum result and form technical government. “I can inform the opinion that information about the ongoing referendum has been considered, the current political situation and several conflicts about actions for the coming period. “I can inform the opinion that information about the ongoing referendum has been considered, the current political situation and several conflicts about actions for the coming period. The Executive Committee declared the referendum unsuccessful, given that the release of only 36 per cent of voters showed the people's clear will against accepting this”, said Aleksandar Nikolovski, VMRO-DPMNE deputy, adding that if Zaev intends to announce early elections, some conditions must be met in advance.

“It is necessary immediately to respect the agreement and the Law for Elections, where a technical government will be formed under “The Gaser Agreement”, with a 100-day mandate. That means Zaev's resignations, Spasovski and Carovska and the Ministers for Internal Affairs and Labour and Social Policy belong to VMRO-DPMNE in the 100-day term. This alone is the prerequisite for free and democratic elections”, Nikolovski said, broadcast Alsat M.

The result of the opposition referendum does not recognise it. Before the election is announced, the polling commission will be formed for irregularities in the referendum. Resolve the new chief prosecutor with proposals from the opposition. Form a technical government with a mandate of 100 days, not less.

The executive committee has decided to form republic's election headquarters and electoral staff under the City of Skopje, where co-ordinators -- Igor Yanusev and Vlado Misselovski -- have been appointed.

Regarding the constitutional changes, VMRO continues to believe MPs hold the party stance and will not change their mind.
