Wessel along with deputies from both political camps in the Parliament had visited several EU states, but exactly many of these states oppose visa liberalisation with Kosovo. The newspaper “Voice” reported days ago that there are more than ten EU states, which do not support visa removal for the country.
Integration process officials estimate that Kosovo authorities have failed to produce concrete results in the fight against organised crime and corruption. This, according to them, negatively affects the process, as states that are reluctant to support visa liberalisation have no arguments to obey in that direction.
Despite that, officials from the ruling coalition say Kosovo no longer has what to do, as it has accomplished all tasks related to the liberalisation process. But opposition representatives consider that it has not been lobbied enough among states that are puzzled over the visa issue.
