VV is preparing a bill to document war crimes

The Vetevendosje (LVV) movement is in preparation for the Bill, which would document Serbia's crimes during the 1998-1999 war. This party's MP, Albulen Haxhiu, has said it is a disaster and a big mistake that there has never been official data on the crimes Serbia committed in Kosovo. [...]

I don't understand how these people who have led institutions in Kosovo have ever taken this action. There are many countries where crime is recorded on their official pages. For us it is unacceptable that they have taken nothing in this direction”, Haxhiu has declared.

Haxhiu stressed there have been many local and international civil society organisations that have provided information on Serbia's crimes, massacres and other damages in Kosovo. Therefore, we are considered to have such a bill, we are in initial stages, but it also comes after the closure of the war crimes institute that exists under the Justice Ministry.

This institute does not exist and without explanation it has closed”, it added.

Haxhiu estimates that there would also be a law in this respect for a new institution that would empower him but also for the war crimes museum. “All of this is being discussed in Vetevendosje structures because we have to take action to document what Serbia has done in Kosovo”.

Vetevendosje is also insisting on the adoption of the Parliamentary Investment Bill, which, according to them, contains no articles contrary to the Constitution, reports EO.

This bill was reviewed in the continuation of the plenary session Friday, but has been rejected by several PDK deputies with the argument that some of the provisions of this bill are unconstitutional.

In this bill under normal circumstances, of course we would support it as such, and what has been debated on the Commission for Legislation has to do with the prosecution's report with the Parliamentary Investigative Commission”.

So when a Parliamentary Investigative Commission completes its work, he sends that final report to the Prosecutor with recommendations, and in this case the prosecution is obliged to announce where the jobs have gone on concrete case”.

Haxhiu says those who estimate that this bill is not in line with the Constitution are the same ones who, according to her, have captured the justice system. “... it's the very ones who have captured the justice system and now have such thoughts that there's something that's incompatible with the” constitution.
