Putin and Vuciq have also talked about reports between Russia and Serbia, strengthening trade relations and Russian investments in Serbia.

As for the region, the Kremlin chief said there are many topics that need to be addressed, while Vucic spoke of a complicated situation in the Western Balkans, added that Serbia “is undergoing provocations, though it wants peace and stability”.

“The resolution of the Kosovo issue is still far from”, Serbia's president stressed, adding that his country is the only independent in the region and as such wants to remain.

Vucinq is unhappy with the West, and Moscow likes it. Serbian analysts say the head of state has recently sent messages about this dissatisfaction.

They think Vucin will continue with his anger because many Western leaders have not responded to his phone calls at all. So he has decided to discuss the issue with Russia and Putin.

But, politician Boban Stojanovic thinks Vuciq is now trying to change the strategy towards Kosovo. He told “Deutsche Welle” that, the Serbian president initially thought to announce any referendum on normalising relations.

But now, when it seems that this strategy will not pass, it is possible for him to hold new elections, in which he would compete with the new strategy for Kosovo, which also means definition with Albanians.
