Despite Turks' opposition, Gjergj Dedaj becomes ambassador to Macedonia

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov has signed the decree for the Dayton diplomatic mission in Skopje.

Deday confirmed this news, saying his priority would be deepening co-operation between the two countries.

I will be Kosovo's painful and dignified ambassador to Macedonia. I thank President Thaci, for my decree, the Ambassador of Foreign and Power of the Republic of Kosovo in Skopje, as well as a thank you to the President of the Republic of Macedonia Ivanov, for signing my decree, on this relevant state mission”, Dedaj wrote.

Shortly ago, Dedaj was involved in a fierce debate with the Turkish community in Kosovo after a statement he made against the Turkish state, but also against Serbia. After that, there were objections from Turks to Skopje for his nomination of ambassador.
