Turkey announced it will enter the Saudi Arabia Consulate in Istanbul to control its environment, following the mysterious disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a fierce critic of the regime in his country.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry conveyed Riyadh's readiness to co-operate, and Ankara's request has already received <x0 Green Window”.
Khashogg was last seen entering the consulate, where he would withdraw some documents he needed for the wedding ceremony but did not leave.
Turkish authorities are convinced that the reporter may have been tortured and killed inside the building. Saudis insist the journalist has left, very soon after his arrival, but Turks fail to comply and insist that the 59-year-old is not seen leaving the building.
Kashogg had to get confirmation to testify to the divorce from his ex-wife, in order to marry Turkish fiancée Hatice Cengiz, who confessed that he himself had ordered President Recep Tayip Erdogan's adviser to call if he did not return from Consulate.
An open critic of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Khashogg lived in exile and wrote tests for “Washington Post”
