Thaci gives new dimension to his idea of joining Presevo with Kosovo

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci hosted the Association of Journalists and Representatives of Civil Society of the Presevo Valley at the meeting.

President Thaci has said they have been talking about the Valley for a long time. No doubt the topic of discussion was the possibility of respecting the will to be associated with the Republic of Kosovo. No doubt I support this will”, Thaci stressed, adding that this would also enable recognition of Kosovo by EU states that have not yet recognised Kosovo.

He has added that citizens in the Valley continue to be the most discriminated against.

The president has said that we should not follow Palestine' model of recognition, for lobby for recognition by a single state.

According to him, Kosovo has nothing more to do with meeting the criteria for visa liberalisation. Sefvdal Hyseni BKSH “Perspectva” from Presevo Valley has said the president has brought him an idea plan.

“Life in the Valley is in serious condition as in Milosevic's power. We've brought the President a plan to get out of this dead end. The idea for border correction is shot. The limits, however, should be corrected”, he said.

Necmedin Sakipi co-ordinator, said political resentments should stop for the correction of the border with Serbia. Presevo Valley has contributed to Kosovo, even giving martyrs.
