Homosexual and transgenerative students and teachers can leave Christian and Muslim schools under new laws in Australia.
Schools in Australia are expected to reject homosexual and legal students and teachers under the recommendation of a review of religious freedoms.
A report by the government-led review has been debated by Prime Minister Scott Morrison's cabinet for the past four months.
The review was ordered after the same gender marriage became legal in December 2017 to address the concerns of religious communities that have expressed concern over the equality of marriage will violate their right to comply with their beliefs.
Also included in the report's recommendations are changes in the law that allow student discrimination based on their sexual orientation. Gender or relationship, Fairfax Media reported.
The review of religious freedom was conducted by a panel headed by the former general attorney Philip Ruddock.
The panel upheld the right to religious groups and schools to select students and Congress in accordance with their beliefs.
However, they rejected the notion that businesses should be allowed to reject consumers on religious grounds, since they would unnecessaryly breach other human rights” and “could cause considerable damage to endangered groups”.
“There is a variety of religious schools in Australia and... in some school communities, cultivating an environment and etos that conform to their religious beliefs is of great importance”, the report says.
