The Kosovo University and Science Union (SUSHK) has addressed a letter to the University of Pristina Steering Council, where it is calling for UPP Secretary General Esat Kelmendi to continue the mandate on the basis of the performance shown.

Early this month, the reactor UP, Marjan Dema has applied to the UP's Steering Council for the continuation of the secretary's mandate, but this is being rejected by council members. Sources of the newspaper within the Rectorate have said some council members including the mayor themselves are demanding that the secretary's position be announced the competition, not the continuation of the mandate.

As the secretary's mandate continues, the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP) and the Independent Council for Civil Service (KPMSHCK) have also given a legal assessment of such an act, Koha.net broadcasts.

In MAP's legal opinion, the position of UPI secretary-general is said to be a leading level high. According to this, the opinion, based on the law for civil servants, after the end of the mandate whether its performance has been satisfactory the institution's title can continue the contract for five years.

And according to the independent Council's assessment of Kosovo civil service (KPMSHCK) there is no legal obstacle that if the secretary general The UPP has shown positive performance and has positive assessments from its superior to continue the mandate as envisioned by the legal provisions in force, rule of No. 06/2012 for top civil service positions, respectively.
