The association through a communique has clarified that cyber attacks are global phenomena that neither save Kosovo nor in particular violate different businesses and institutions.
According to the association, fraud through computer systems can cause considerable damage, so the Kosovo Banks Association presents several recommendations for businesses in order to better protect against cyberattacks.
“to ensure antivirus computer systems are recommended that you keep the operating system regularly updated with recent updates, as well as to have antiVirus installed and keep it regularly updated. Also, other applications such as the browser (Explor, Firefox, CHrome) to keep up; not to open suspicious e-mails as well as not known to the sender - even if you have actually received an e-mail from some reliable source and e-mail you haven't been waiting for, recommend that you contact the sender in advance and ask him if it is the mail sender, and because the email of the sender is compromised, and the fraud/declarers use that email for cheating; do not click on the mail you want to write to the web address; write to the address you want to see the user's email you don't want to send to the mail; or the mail you don't want to send the mail; the mail you't want any information from the mail you're looking for the mail from the mail you're looking for the recipients; the user who're looking for the recipients; the recipients; the recipients from the recipients; the recipients; the recipients are required to the recipients.
On the other hand, they say not to send your personal information, in particular the username, password and credit folder information via email, social media messages ( Facebook) and so forth.
Legal business, especially banks, will not ask users to send their personal sensitive information through these tools. Do not perform banking transactions on computers you do not trust. Don't use Wi-Fi when you're running any financial issues. Use secure Wi-Fi or 3G nets for any safe transaction such as e-banking and credit transaction; do not download apps from any media except the app markets that your mobile phone device offers; nowadays, it is very important that the details of the beneficiary Bank be accepted in the safest way to execute payments with the aim of avoiding the risk of counterfeit payment” are said to be further recommended in their recommendation.
In this context, it says, businesses should check and verify the broke accounts of suppliers and should also receive the original bill before the execution of payments. These are the main business responsibilities. Last, but not least, to get to you, make sure your phone and email information stored in the banking system is always up-to-date.
“The Society has all encouraged that if you eventually face something like this or are aware that it is trying to do the work, report the case to the Kosovo Police, where you will head to the Cyber Crimes Fighting Unit”, the Society's recommendation concludes.
