Serbs optimistic about buying “Telekom Albania”

The goal of <x0kom Serbia” to participate in the purchase competition for “Telekom Albania” has been welcomed by Serbian Trade and Telecommunication Minister Rasim Lajic, who considers it a good movement but also quite logical to speak for himself about the power and potential of this company.

He believes that if he manages to buy “Telekom Albanian”, the Serbian company can become a telecommunications leader in the Balkans, though he acknowledges it is still too early to talk about the outcome.

“We do not yet know exactly who the other competitors are, he has stated for the Belgrade daily; at the moment it is a game without a clear conclusion, the minister added, stressing that market consolidation is of key importance in our day when, as he says, only global or regional players can survive in the telecommunication market”, Lajic said.

Dean of the Faculty of Electric Engineering Branko Kovacevic says the chances that <x0kom Serbia” will win the tender in Albania are good in view of the fact that between the two countries there are generally satisfactory trade relations regardless of politics.
