About 22 per cent of Serbian citizens think of leaving the country for a better life, a percentage amounting to 34 per cent among young people by the age of 29, according to a survey conducted by organisation” Srbija 21”, which was released in the media today.
According to the survey conducted in a group of 1,000 adults, 41 per cent have said they want to leave Serbia to move towards a better standard of living, 36 per cent for better paid jobs and 9% due to the uncertain situation in the country.
About 85 per cent of respondents said they wanted to go and live in Western countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the US.
