He during his speech at the Security Forum in Belgrade said Serbia would never recognise Kosovo's independence.
Our “ambition is to concentrate fully on what is possible as a solution. I've heard here and I'm showing it to erase the argument that Kosovo's “Albanians don't want pieces broken up by” territory. Sorry, but neither do Serbs. What you do not view as appropriate for you is inappropriate for us too. But that means that we need to seek a solution and a compromise that will leave us both with the achievement of something and the taking of something in a civilized and peaceful manner and not through a disagreement. And if someone in Kosovo or the international community expects that we will give recognition to the division of 10,887 square kilometers of our sovereign territory into a silver plate and not reach any kind of compromise for Serbs, for Serbia and the Serbs living in Kosovo, it is not a realistic policy and there is no one in the international community or in the world that can implement this and operate”, he has said.
