Leaving Kosovo is often cited as a dream, while many of the citizens hope to leave unless visa liberalisation occurs.

The main reason continues to be economic situation and unemployment, while not all would abandon Kosovo with better monthly incomes, Periscope broadcasts.

In a research by the Institute for Economic Research conducted for the ideal wage in Kosovo, which would prevent citizens from leaving, pollsters provided different responses to the ideal salary, and very few expressed satisfaction with the current salaries in Kosovo.

The research poll was made by primary data, to be empirical research based on citizen demand for ideal wage.

36% of respondents believe the 600-800-euro salary is enough to stay in Kosovo. 20% of those surveyed will pay 400-600 euros, while 18% want 800-1000 euros in salaries.

The salary of over 1,000 euros is seen as an option not to leave Kosovo 16% of respondents, while 10% have agreed to the solid wage of 200-400 euros.

Based on research, public sector salaries meet citizens' demands for their ideal “salaries, as wages in the private sector continue to be small. /Periscope.
